Much like the 2019 vintage, 2021 is racing back to levels of pure Oakville magic. Pure creme de cassis, smoked tobacco, graphite, and new leather notes define the aromatics, and it's a more focused, inward wine compared to the more showy Cabernet Franc, offering medium to full-bodied richness, flawless overall balance, ripe, focused tannins (which are very different from the more velvety tannins in the Cabernet Franc), and a gorgeous finish. This deep, layered, incredibly complete Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon will evolve for two decades or more.
