A Saint-Emilion-like blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 33% Cabernet Franc from Sage Ridge and Sugarloaf Mountain vineyards, the 2023 Red Blend Alessio is another inky hued effort and one of my favorites in the lineup. Pure cassis, graphite, liquid violets, Asian spices, and chocolate are just some of the nuances here, and it's full-bodied, with a beautifully balanced, graceful mouthfeel, fine, polished tannins, and a great finish. It has that rare mix of power and elegance. Drink this sexy, seamless, classy 2023 over the coming 20-25 years. Drink 2025-2050.
