Coming from a favorite barrel selection from the Cabernet Franc and the Oakville Ranch vineyard releases, the 2023 Versus Oakville Ranch Vineyard is a 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 49% Cabernet Franc blend aged 19 months in 100% new French oak. Pure black and blue fruits, crushed stone, spicy wood, and spring flowers, as well as beautiful minerality, all emerge from this sensational juice. It's medium to full-bodied, has a seamless, graceful mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a gorgeous finish. I love it even today due to its incredible elegance, yet it will evolve for 20-25 years or more. There are roughly 100 cases produced. Drink 2025-2050.
